Work
I worked online yesterday for eight hours rating TOEFL essays. Prior to that I had only done four hour shifts, which I learned are far more suitable for that kind of work. At 6 pm I closed my folder and logged off, after which I realized I was supposed to work until 6:30. So I logged back in and completed the final half hour. The online work is convenient but can be tortuous!

I have to admit that does sound like torture. What level were the TOEFL writings? Did you get to pretty automatic about it? Is it like reading school essays?
You know what? Sometimes I get tired of my job! Isn't that shocking? I'm especially tired right now...
Believe it or not, I have to sign a confidentiality agreement that says I can't comment on the essays. But doing the same thing repeatedly all day long is not easy. I sometimes feel like I'm being too hard, then too easy, and after a while I have to look at the rating criteria again because I don't know what the heck I'm doing!
